The National Library of Ireland has kindly loaned four exhibitions to Carrick-on-Heritage Group to display in St. George's Heritage & Visitor Centre, Carrick-on-Shannon during 2013. 
 
Gallant Sons: This exhibition provides insights into Soldiers of World War I and their families left behind in Ireland  
Opening:  Monday,  4th March 2013 
Closing: Thursday, 11th April 2013
 
Ireland from Maps: This exhibition introduces basic map concepts and terminology
Opening: Monday, 15th April 2013
Closing: Friday, 7th June 2013 
                
If I were a Blackbird: A celebration of the lives of Thomas Kiernan, Ireland’s first Ambassador to Australia and his wife Delia Murphy, the renowned singer of traditional songs 
Opening: Tuesday, 11th June 2013 
Closing: Friday, 30th August 2013
 
Heraldry: This exhibition provides a history of heraldry from its medieval roots to the present.            
Opening:  Tuesday, 3rd September 2013
Closing: Thursday, 10th October 2013. 



All exhibitions are free of charge  (school tours if worksheets are required €1.00 per student is required to cover photocopying costs order when booking tour).
